The Avon Eagles lacrosse team scored 17 points and held the host Boardman Spartans to 1 in the Eagles non-league win on Saturday.

The Eagles (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Rocky River (Rocky River, OH). The Pirates go into the non-league match with a 0-3 record. In their last match, Rocky River was overwhelmed by St. Edward (Lakewood, OH), 15-3, in a non-league match.
