Stockdale Mustangs (Bakersfield, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Atascadero Greyhounds (Atascadero, CA), 16-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host Clovis for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 21. Stockdale will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Bullard (Fresno, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 10-2.

With the loss, Atascadero falls to 3-7 on the campaign. The Greyhounds host Templeton (Templeton, CA) to battle the Eagles in a Mountain challenge on Wednesday, March 23. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 3-7. Templeton lost 6-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Sanger (Sanger, CA)
