Bend Lava Bears (Bend, OR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Roseburg Indians (Roseburg, OR), 6-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Lava Bears now own a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they host Canby for a 6A Three Rivers challenge on Monday, March 21. Bend will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Ridgeview (Redmond, OR). The Cougars record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Roseburg falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Indians host Westview (Portland, OR) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 28. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
