In Saturday's non-league outing, the host Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks softball team scored a close 4-3 win over the Chaparral Firebirds.

Coming up next, the Nighthawks battle the Boulder Creek Jaguars (Anthem, AZ) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, March 19. Ironwood Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Jaguars enter the outing with a 6-5 record after their 8-6 non-league win over Arcadia (Phoenix, AZ).

The Firebirds (5-12) will now prepare for their outing against O'Connor (Phoenix, AZ). The Eagles enter the 6A Desert Valley outing with a 6-6 record. In their last outing, O'Connor tipped Shadow Ridge (Las Vegas, NV), 12-5, in a league outing.
