Chavez Titans (Delano, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Porterville Panthers (Porterville, CA), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Titans now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host Shafter for a South Sequoia challenge on Tuesday, March 22. Chavez will battle a Generals squad coming off a 10-2 non-league loss to Highland (Bakersfield, CA). The Generals record now stands at 10-6.

With the loss, Porterville falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Panthers host Golden West (Visalia, CA) to face the Trailblazers in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 21. The Trailblazers enter the challenge with a record of 7-3. Golden West won 13-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Exeter (Exeter, CA)
