West Virginia High School Softball - Nitro bounces Huntington

March 19, 2022: Nitro, WV 25143

Nitro Wildcats (Nitro, WV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Huntington Highlanders (Huntington, WV), 10-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Lincoln County for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 21. Nitro will face a Panthers squad coming off a 11-1 non-league win over Chapmanville Regional (Chapmanville, WV). The Panthers record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Huntington falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Highlanders travel to Riverside (Belle, WV) to face the Warriors in a Mountain State game on Monday, March 21. The Warriors come into the game with a record of 0-1.
