In Saturday's non-league contest, the Karns Beavers (Knoxville, TN) softball team held off the host Unicoi County Blue Devils (Erwin, TN), by a margin of 3-2.

With the triumph, Karns moves its record to 7-1 on the year. The Beavers travel to Volunteer (Church Hill, TN) to play the Falcons in a non-league contest on Saturday, March 19. The Falcons come into the contest with a record of 0-1.

In their next game, the Blue Devils play the Tennessee Vikings (Bristol, TN) in a 3A District 1 contest, on Tuesday, March 22. Unicoi County will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record. The Vikings come into the contest with a 2-0 record after their 27-0 non-league win over Hampton (Hampton, TN).
