Seminole Indians (Seminole, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Lubbock Westerners (Lubbock, TX), 16-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now own a 12-4 record. They take the field next when they host Andrews for a 4A Region I District 2 challenge on Tuesday, March 22. Seminole will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 20-14 league win over Pecos (Pecos, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 6-3.

With the loss, Lubbock falls to 1-9 on the campaign. The Westerners host Coronado (Lubbock, TX) to face the Mustangs in a 5A Region I District 4 challenge on Tuesday, March 22. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 7-5. Coronado lost 12-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Bushland (Bushland, TX)
