North Carolina High School Softball - Northwood knocked off by Northern Guilford

March 19, 2022: Pittsboro, NC 27312

In Saturday's non-league contest, the Northern Guilford Nighthawks (Greensboro, NC) softball team overwhelmed the host Northwood Chargers (Pittsboro, NC), by a margin of 15-0.

With the triumph, Northern Guilford moves its record to 5-3 on the year. The Nighthawks travel to Northern Durham (Durham, NC) to play the Knights in a non-league contest on Saturday, March 19. The Knights come into the contest with a record of 2-3. Northern Durham won 18-5 in their recent league contest against East Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill, NC)

In their next game, the Chargers play the Person Rockets (Roxboro, NC) in a Central 3A contest, on Tuesday, March 22. Northwood will attempt to move on its 3-5 season record. The Rockets come into the contest with a 5-0 record after their 6-0 non-league win over Vance Charter (Henderson, NC).
