The Gilbert Christian Knights baseball team scored 13 runs and limited the visiting Apache Junction Prospectors to 0 in the Knights non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Knights (8-2) will now prepare for their match against American Leadership Academy - Ironwood (Ironwood, AZ). The Warriors go into the 3A South Central match with a 6-4 record. In their last match, American Leadership Academy - Ironwood gained a win over Fountain Hills (Fountain Hills, AZ), 5-2, in a non-league match.
The Prospectors (2-9) will now prepare for their match against Eastmark (Mesa, AZ). The Firebirds go into the non-league match with a 6-7 record. In their last match, Eastmark was overwhelmed by Desert Ridge (Mesa, AZ), 10-0, in a non-league match.
