In Tuesday's non-league battle, the host Maine South Hawks volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Maine East Blue Demons.
The Hawks (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Hersey (Arlington Heights, IL). The Huskies come into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Hersey lost by Fremd (Palatine, IL), 2-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Blue Demons clash with the Fenton Bison (Bensenville, IL) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, March 20. Maine East will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record. The Bison come into the battle with a 0-1 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Waukegan (Waukegan, IL).
