North Carolina High School Baseball - Alexander Central defeats Ashe County

Spectators at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) and the visiting Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC), saw Alexander Central's baseball squad knock off Ashe County by a count of 6-1.

Coming up next, the Cougars play the South Iredell Vikings (Statesville, NC) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, March 21. Alexander Central will attempt to move on its 6-1 season record. The Vikings enter the battle with a 7-0 record after their 12-0 non-league win over Carson (China Grove, NC).

The Huskies now possess a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hibriten for a non-league battle on Monday, March 25. Ashe County will play a Panthers squad coming off a 7-6 non-league win over West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 5-2.
