Altamont Indians (Altamont, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting North Clay/Clay City (Louisville, IL), 15-0 in a league challenge.

The Indians now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Greenville for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 21. Altamont will battle a Comets squad coming off a 20-3 non-league win over Bunker Hill (Bunker Hill, IL). The Comets record now stands at 2-3.

With the loss, North Clay/Clay City falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The host St. Anthony (Effingham, IL) to battle the Bulldogs in a National Trail challenge on Thursday, March 21. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 2-0. St. Anthony won 16-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Richland County (Olney, IL)
