Central Red Devils (Phenix City, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Buffalo Island Central Mustangs (Monette, AR), 13-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Red Devils now own a 17-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Carlisle for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 20. Central will face a Bison squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Portland (Portland, TN). The Bison record now stands at 10-0.
With the loss, Buffalo Island Central falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Riverside (Lake City, AR) to face the Rebels in a 2A Region 3 challenge on Monday, March 25. The Rebels enter the challenge with a record of 7-0.
