Daviess County Panthers (Owensboro, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Butler County Bears (Morgantown, KY), 18-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they host Greenwood for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 21. Daviess County will face a Gators squad coming off a 6-2 non-league loss to Logan County (Russellville, KY). The Gators record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Butler County moves to 0-3 on the season. The Bears host Franklin-Simpson (Franklin, KY) to meet the Wildcats in a non-league match on Thursday, March 21. The Wildcats go into the match with a record of 7-0. Franklin-Simpson won 17-7 in their recent non-league match against Edmonson County (Brownsville, KY)
