De La Salle Cavalier (New Orleans, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Riverdale Rebels (Jefferson, LA), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Cavalier now own a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Charles Catholic for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 21. De La Salle will battle a Comets squad coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Riverside Academy (Reserve, LA). The Comets record now stands at 10-5.

With the loss, Riverdale falls to 11-5 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Willow (New Orleans, LA) to battle the Lions in a 4A District 9 challenge on Thursday, March 21. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 4-2.
