The Independence Tigers softball team (Independence, LA), was routed 22-0 in Tuesday's league test with the visiting Springfield Bulldogs (Springfield, LA)

Coming up next, the Bulldogs encounter the St. Thomas Aquinas Falcons (Hammond, LA) in a 2A District 7 test, on Thursday, March 21. Springfield will attempt to improve on its 7-10 season record. The Falcons come into the test with a 3-9 record after their 9-0 non-league loss to Dunham (Baton Rouge, LA).

The Tigers (2-7) will now prepare for their test against Pope John Paul II (Slidell, LA). The Jaguars come into the 2A District 7 test with a 8-8 record. In their last test, Pope John Paul II overcame Northlake Christian (Covington, LA), 12-7, in a league test.
