In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Lake Park Lancers (Roselle, IL) softball team held off the visiting Naperville Central Redhawks (Naperville, IL), by a margin of 9-8.
With the triumph, Lake Park moves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Lancers host Prospect (Mt. Prospect, IL) to play the Knights in a non-league contest on Tuesday, April 2. The Knights come into the contest with a record of 2-1.
In their next game, the Redhawks play the Bolingbrook Raiders (Bolingbrook, IL) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, March 21. Naperville Central will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Raiders come into the contest with a 1-3 record after their 9-4 non-league loss to Plainfield Central (Plainfield, IL).
