The Opelika Bulldogs routed the host South Side Hornet softball squad by a count of 9-4 in Tuesday's non-league battle.
The Bulldogs (7-10) will now prepare for their battle against Brewbaker Tech (Montgomery, AL). The Rams go into the non-league battle with a 7-6 record. In their last battle, Brewbaker Tech nudged Greenbrier (Greenbrier, TN), 7-3, in a non-league battle.
The Hornet now sport a 8-2 record. They play next when they host Mountain Home for a non-league battle on Wednesday, March 20. South Side will meet a Bombers squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Walnut Ridge (Walnut Ridge, AR). The Bombers record now stands at 3-2.
