Topeka Trojans (Topeka, KS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting West Chargers (Topeka, KS), 17-11 in a non-league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Highland Park for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 20.

With the loss, West falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Seaman (Topeka, KS) to battle the Vikings in a United Kansas challenge on Friday, March 22. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
