The Hanahan Hawks baseball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Goose Creek Gators to 2 in the Hawks non-league win on Wednesday.
The Hawks now own a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they host Orangeburg-Wilkinson for a 3A Region 8 test on Friday, March 21. Hanahan will play a Bruins team coming off a 17-12 non-league win over Bamberg-Ehrhardt (Bamberg, SC). The Bruins record now stands at 2-5.
With the defeat, Goose Creek drops to 2-2 on the year. The Gators travel to West Ashley (Charleston, SC) to play the Wildcats in a non-league test on Friday, March 21. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 0-4. West Ashley lost 8-5 in their recent non-league test against Wando (Mt. Pleasant, SC)
