The Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes soccer squad scored 4 points and held the visiting Apalachee Wildcats to 0 in the Purple Hurricanes non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Purple Hurricanes now possess a 3-7 record. They play next when they travel to West Hall for a 3A Region 8 bout on Friday, March 21. Monroe Area will play a Spartans squad coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to Forsyth Central (Cumming, GA). The Spartans record now stands at 0-10.

With the loss, Apalachee moves to 3-8 on the year. The Wildcats host Jackson County (Jefferson, GA) to play the Panthers in a 5A Region 8 bout on Friday, March 21. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 5-4. Jackson County lost 2-1 in their recent non-league bout against Creekview (Canton, GA)
