Fans at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Kalamazoo Central Maroon Giants (Kalamazoo, MI) and the visiting Marshall Redhawks (Marshall, MI), saw Kalamazoo Central's soccer squad knock off Marshall by a count of 5-2.
The Maroon Giants (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Plainwell (Plainwell, MI). The Trojans enter the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Plainwell by Lakeview (Battle Creek, MI), 5-2, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Redhawks confront the Montague Wildcats (Montague, MI) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, March 22. Marshall will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Wildcats enter the battle with a 1-0 record after their 5-0 non-league win over Newaygo (Newaygo, MI).
