La Costa Canyon Mavericks (Carlsbad, CA) followers exited the stadium satisfied Wednesday as they saw their lacrosse team achieve victory over the visiting Del Norte Nighthawks (San Diego, CA), 8-2 in a non-league game.

With the victory, La Costa Canyon advances its record to 3-0 on the season. The Mavericks travel to Point Loma (San Diego, CA) to play the Pointers in a game on Monday, March 24. The Pointers come into the game with a record of 6-2. Point Loma won 10-0 in their recent non-league game against Grossmont (El Cajon, CA)

The Nighthawks now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to San Dieguito Academy for a game on Tuesday, March 25. Del Norte will play a Mustangs team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Point Loma (San Diego, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-3.
