The Central Private Redhawks softball team scored 9 runs and held the host Ascension Christian to 7 in the Redhawks non-league win on Wednesday.
The Redhawks now possess a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Maurepas for a non-league battle on Friday, March 21. Central Private will confront a Wolves team coming off a 8-7 non-league loss to Pearl River (Pearl River, LA). The Wolves record now stands at 3-11.
With the loss, Ascension Christian moves to 8-5 on the season. The host St. John (Plaquemine, LA) to confront the Eagles in a 1A District 8 battle on Friday, March 21. The Eagles come into the battle with a record of 14-2. St. John won 10-4 in their recent non-league battle against Mamou (Mamou, LA)
