In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Bentworth Bearcats softball team scored a nice 12-1 win over the Merion Mercy Academy Golden Bears.

The Bearcats (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Jefferson County (Dandridge, TN). The Patriots come into the non-league match with a 5-4 record. In their last match, Jefferson County notched a victory over Merion Mercy Academy (Merion Station, PA), 5-1, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Golden Bears battle the Mt. St. Joseph Academy Magic (Flourtown, PA) in a Catholic Academies match, on Tuesday, March 25. Merion Mercy Academy will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Magic come into the match with a 0-1 record after their 12-3 non-league loss to Hatboro-Horsham (Horsham, PA).
