The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Knoxville Central Bobcats (Knoxville, TN) and the visiting Carter Green Hornets (Strawberry Plains, TN), observed Knoxville Central's softball team prevail over Carter by a tally of 16-1.

The Bobcats (4-0) will now prepare for their bout against Campbell County (Jacksboro, TN). The Cougars go into the 4A District 3 bout with a 3-5 record. In their last bout, Campbell County was routed by Oak Ridge (Oak Ridge, TN), 19-2, in a league outing.

With the loss, Carter moves to 2-4 on the season. The Green hornets host Karns (Knoxville, TN) to meet the Beavers in a non-league test on Monday, March 24. The Beavers go into the test with a record of 7-2. Karns won 5-4 in their recent non-league test against Waverly Central (Waverly, TN)
