The Herndon Hornets overwhelmed the host Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology Colonials softball squad by a count of 13-4 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Hornets meet the Chantilly Chargers (Chantilly, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, March 21. Herndon will attempt to upgrade on its 1-0 season record. The Chargers go into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 7-4 non-league loss to George C. Marshall (Falls Church, VA).
The Colonials (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Falls Church (Falls Church, VA). The Jaguars go into the National challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Falls Church was routed by Centreville (Clifton, VA), 17-3, in a non-league challenge.
