The Batesville Pioneers (Batesville, AR) baseball got by the visiting DeWitt Dragons (DeWitt, AR), 5-4 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
The Pioneers now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host Star City for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 26. Batesville will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 10-1 league loss to Crossett (Crossett, AR). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-2.
The Dragons (3-3) will now prepare for their bout against Lonoke (Lonoke, AR). The Jackrabbits enter the non-league bout with a 3-3 record. In their last bout, Lonoke was nudged by Gravette (Gravette, AR), 14-9, in a non-league bout.
