Newman Greenies (New Orleans, LA) supporters went home thrilled Thursday as they witnessed their baseball team beat the visiting Benjamin Franklin Falcons (New Orleans, LA), 18-2 in a non-league test.

The Greenies now hold a 11-5 record. They take the field next when they host St. Charles Catholic for a non-league test on Friday, March 20.

With the defeat, Benjamin Franklin drops to 4-12 on the year. The Falcons travel to L.W. Higgins (Marrero, LA) to play the Hurricanes in a 5A District 10 test on Friday, March 20. The Hurricanes go into the test with a record of 5-15. L.W. Higgins lost 9-2 in their recent non-league outing against Chalmette (Chalmette, LA)
