St. Francis Spartans (Wheaton, IL) supporters left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Rolling Meadows Mustangs (Rolling Meadows, IL), 15-3 in a non-league match.
The Spartans (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Geneva (Geneva, IL). The Vikings come into the non-league match with a 0-2 record. In their last match, Geneva was routed by Glenbard South (Glen Ellyn, IL), 14-11, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Mustangs confront the Glenbrook South Titans (Glenview, IL) in a non-league match, on Monday, March 30. Rolling Meadows will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
