North Carolina High School Baseball - Newton-Conover loses to Hickory

In Wednesday's non-league game, the host Hickory Red Tornadoes baseball team scored a nice 13-0 victory over the Newton-Conover Red Devils.
The Red Tornadoes (2-0) will now prepare for their game against East Lincoln (Denver, NC). The Mustangs go into the Western Foothills 3A game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, East Lincoln overcame Bandys (Catawba, NC), 9-3, in a non-league game.
The Red Devils (1-1) will now prepare for their game against West Iredell (Statesville, NC). The Warriors go into the non-league game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, West Iredell overcame West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC), 5-4, in a non-league game.
