Rincon/University Rangers (Tucson, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Nogales Apaches (Nogales, AZ), 18-13 in a non-league challenge.
The Rangers now own a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they host Marana for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 4. Rincon/University will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 13-11 non-league loss to Cienega (Vail, AZ). The Tigers record now stands at 1-6.
With the loss, Nogales falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Apaches travel to Safford (Safford, AZ) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 11. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 1-1.
