Spectators at Thursday's non-league battle between the DeSoto Central Jaguars (Southaven, MS) and the host Long Rebels (Skipperville, AL), saw DeSoto Central's baseball squad knock off Long by a count of 6-1.

Coming up next, the Jaguars play the Cartersville Hurricanes (Cartersville, GA) in a non-league battle, on Friday, March 3. DeSoto Central will attempt to move on its 4-3 season record. The Hurricanes enter the battle with a 5-0 record after their 1-0 non-league win over Chelsea (Chelsea, AL).

The Rebels now possess a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Opp for a non-league battle on Saturday, March 11.
