Maryland High School Basketball - Bishop Walsh edges Veritas Collegiate Academy

The Bishop Walsh Spartans (Cumberland, MD) basketball nipped the visiting Veritas Collegiate Academy Spartans (Chesapeake, VA), 67-63 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Spartans (9-18) will now prepare for their test against Wasatch (Heber City, UT). The Wasps go into the non-league test with a 5-18 record. In their last test, Wasatch was tipped by Maple Mountain (Spanish Fork, UT), 70-61, in a league test.

The Spartans now own a 18-7 record. They play next when they travel to Abundant Life Academy for a non-league test on Friday, March 3. Veritas Collegiate Academy will encounter a squad coming off a 68-51 non-league loss to Victory Christian Academy (Valparaiso, IN). The record now stands at 14-11.
