Sylvan-Lucas Mustangs (Sylvan Grove, KS) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Rural Vista [Hope/White City] Heat (Hope, KS), 54-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Sylvan-Lucas upgrades its record to 17-6 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Canton-Galva (Canton, KS) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, March 4. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 14-8. Canton-Galva won 51-38 in their recent non-league bout against Elyria Christian (McPherson, KS)
