West Ranch Wildcats (Valencia, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Kennedy Cougars (Granada Hills, CA), 10-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Saugus for a challenge on Thursday, March 9.

With the loss, Kennedy falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to El Camino Real (Woodland Hills, CA) to battle the Royals in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 7. The Royals enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. El Camino Real won 14-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Hart (Newhall, CA)
