In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Wade Hampton Generals soccer squad scored a close 2-1 win over the Mauldin Mavericks.
The Generals (3-1) will now prepare for their battle against Hillcrest (Simpsonville, SC). The Rams go into the non-league battle with a 4-0 record. In their last battle, Hillcrest nipped Gaffney (Gaffney, SC), 4-1, in a non-league battle.
The Mavericks (1-3) will now prepare for their battle against T.L. Hanna (Anderson, SC). The Yellow Jackets go into the AAAAA Region 1 battle with a 1-1 record.
