The Callisburg Wildcats softball team scored 5 runs and limited the visiting Rio Vista Eagles to 2 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Callisburg improves its record to 6-7 on the year. The Wildcats host Whitesboro (Whitesboro, TX) to clash with the Bearcats in a 3A Region II District 10 game on Tuesday, March 7. The Bearcats come into the game with a record of 10-4.

In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Howe Bulldogs (Howe, TX) in a non-league game, on Friday, March 3. Rio Vista will attempt to improve on its 10-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the game with a 5-7 record after their 11-3 non-league loss to Borger (Borger, TX).
