East Ridge Knights (Clermont, FL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Forest Wildcats (Ocala, FL), 8-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Windermere for a 7A District 5 challenge on Friday, March 3. East Ridge will face a Wolverines squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Eustis (Eustis, FL). The Wolverines record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Forest falls to 4-2 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Dunnellon (Dunnellon, FL) to face the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 3. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 1-4. Dunnellon lost 15-3 in their recent non-league challenge against The Villages Charter (The Villages, FL)
