Leonard Tigers (Leonard, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Prince of Peace Eagles (Carrollton, TX), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 5-8 record. They take the field next when they host Van Alstyne for a 4A Region II District 11 challenge on Thursday, March 2. Leonard will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 5-3 non-league win over Emerson (McKinney, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 2-3.

With the loss, Prince of Peace falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Centennial (Frisco, TX) to battle the Titans in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 3. The Titans enter the challenge with a record of 0-10. Centennial lost 15-0 in their recent league challenge against Memorial (Frisco, TX)
