The Paetow Panthers baseball team scored 13 runs and limited the host Lamar Consolidated Mustangs to 1 in the Panthers non-league victory on Saturday.

The Panthers (8-0) will now prepare for their match against Morton Ranch (Katy, TX). The Mavericks go into the 6A Region III District 19 match with a 5-4 record. In their last match, Morton Ranch gained a win over Fort Bend Kempner (Sugar Land, TX), 5-4, in a non-league match.

The Mustangs (0-9) will now prepare for their match against Bay City (Bay City, TX). The Blackcats go into the non-league match with a 1-3 record. In their last match, Bay City was overwhelmed by Rice Consolidated (Altair, TX), 6-5, in a non-league match.
