Texas High School Baseball - Taft holds off Rockport-Fulton

Spectators at Saturday's non-league battle between the Taft Greyhounds (Taft, TX) and the visiting Rockport-Fulton Pirates (Rockport, TX), saw Taft's baseball squad knock off Rockport-Fulton by a count of 8-4.

Coming up next, the Greyhounds play the Edna Cowboys (Edna, TX) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, March 7. Taft will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Cowboys enter the battle with a 2-7 record after their 12-2 league loss to Tidehaven (El Maton, TX).

The Pirates now possess a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they host Sinton for a 4A Region IV District 30 battle on Tuesday, March 5. Rockport-Fulton will play a Pirates squad coming off a 5-2 non-league loss to Sharyland (Mission, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 5-1.
