The Damien Spartans basketball team (La Verne, CA), was nudged 63-59 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host St. John Bosco Braves (Bellflower, CA)

The Braves now possess a 26-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mater Dei for a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 5. St. John Bosco will battle a Monarchs team coming off a 79-71 non-league win over Notre Dame (SO) (Sherman Oaks, CA). The Monarchs record now stands at 29-5.
