In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Elk Grove Thundering Herd volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Albany Cougars.

The Thundering Herd (3-4) will now prepare for their battle against Davis Sr. (Davis, CA). The Blue Devils come into the Delta League battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Davis Sr. defeated Sheldon (Sacramento, CA), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Cougars encounter the Hercules Titans (Hercules, CA) in a Tri-County battle, on Wednesday, March 6. Albany will attempt to move on its 3-4 season record. The Titans come into the battle with a 6-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Alhambra (Martinez, CA).
