Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Lake Ridge Eagles (Mansfield, TX) and the host Argyle Eagles (Argyle, TX), witnessed Lake Ridge's softball squad tip Argyle by a count of 8-4.

The Eagles now sport a 3-6 record. They play next when they travel to Mansfield for a 6A Region II District 11 match on Friday, March 8.

With the loss, Argyle moves to 8-10 on the season. The Eagles host Lake Dallas (Corinth, TX) to face the Falcons in a 5A Region I District 7 match on Tuesday, March 5. The Falcons go into the match with a record of 1-6. Lake Dallas lost 10-4 in their recent non-league match against Rock Hill (Frisco, TX)
