In Saturday's non-league outing, the host Georgetown Eagles softball team scored a close 7-5 win over the Belton Tigers.
Coming up next, the Eagles battle the Pflugerville Connally Cougars (Austin, TX) in a 5A Region III District 23 outing, on Tuesday, March 5. Georgetown will attempt to upgrade on its 15-6 season record. The Cougars enter the outing with a 7-12 record after their 15-8 non-league loss to Temple (Temple, TX).
The Tigers (7-7) will now prepare for their outing against Killeen (Killeen, TX). The Kangaroos enter the 5A Region III District 22 outing with a 2-6 record. In their last outing, Killeen tipped Tyler (Tyler, TX), 12-9, in a non-league outing.
