The Randall Raiders (Amarillo, TX) softball nipped the host Cooper Cougars (Abilene, TX), 6-5 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Raiders (9-11) will now prepare for their bout against Borger (Borger, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 4A Region I District 4 bout with a 5-8 record. In their last bout, Borger was edged by Iowa Park (Iowa Park, TX), 8-7, in a non-league bout.
The Cougars now possess a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to Gatesville for a non-league bout on Friday, March 8. Cooper will confront a Hornets squad coming off a 10-9 non-league win over Lampasas (Lampasas, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 12-9.
