Hargrave Falcons (Huffman, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting El Campo Ricebirds (El Campo, TX), 6-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Falcons now own a 3-10 record. They take the field next when they host Bridge City for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 2. Hargrave will face a Cardinals squad coming off a 8-0 non-league loss to Dayton (Dayton, TX). The Cardinals record now stands at 6-3.

With the loss, El Campo falls to 10-10 on the campaign. The Ricebirds host Bellville (Bellville, TX) to face the Brahmas in a 4A Region IV District 25 challenge on Tuesday, March 5. The Brahmas enter the challenge with a record of 7-6. Bellville lost 5-1 in their recent non-league challenge against East Bernard (East Bernard, TX)
