The Sabinal Yellowjackets the visiting Hondo Owls softball squad by a count of 5-1 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Yellowjackets (3-7) will now prepare for their battle against Cole (San Antonio, TX). The Cougars go into the non-league battle with a 3-13 record. In their last battle, Cole was routed by Three Rivers (Three Rivers, TX), 12-4, in a non-league battle.

The Owls now sport a 1-8 record. They play next when they host Bandera for a non-league battle on Saturday, March 2. Hondo will meet a BULLDOGS squad coming off a 17-3 non-league win over Dilley (Dilley, TX). The BULLDOGS record now stands at 8-8.
